*Position Title: Admissions & Parent Engagement Coordinator*
*Position Summary:*
The Admissions & Parent Engagement Coordinator is responsible for managing the school’s admission process from initial inquiry to integration, overseeing all stages of the admissions process, in order to attract and retain a diverse student body.
Additionally, the Admissions & Parent Engagement Coordinator builds relationships with current parents and leads the activities of the Mastro Montessori Community Council
(MMCC) to foster a sense of community and connection.
Finally, the Admissions &
Parent Engagement Coordinator proposes and manages the execution of fundraising activities and events.
This person is highly visible in the Mastro community and an integral part of the administrative team.
*Responsibilities:*
● Coordinate all stages of the admissions process for all prospective families and students from initial inquiry to school tours to application and financial aid processes and acceptance / admission.
● Apply best practices and admissions standards to enhance the process in response to changes in the competitive market and in order to continue to develop and maintain a diverse student population and pipeline.
● Plan and organize admissions events to attract prospective students and to achieve current student retention goals, including progression through the school’s Toddler, Primary and Elementary programs.
● Administer the Blackbaud application system and website admissions process content and calendar.
● Develop and maintain admissions and application materials including brochureware, promotional items and other community branded products such as school spirit wear.
● Analyze, and report on appropriate metrics to measure the success of the applicant process achievement vs goals.
● Define and execute a calendar of current parent and community engagement activities such as parent classroom observations, parent/student events, parent education programming and sales of branded school products.
● Serve as primary coordinator for the Mastro Montessori Community Council (the school’s volunteer parent organization) and all subcommittees.
● Maintain and distribute the parent handbook.
● Lead the arrivals and dismissals processes which serve as daily opportunities for relationship building with current parents.
● Analyze and report on appropriate metrics to measure parent satisfaction and achieve community retention goals including promotion through the school’s three distinct programs.
● Prepare and report to the Board of Directors on admissions and parent engagement.
As a member of the administrative team, this position will also participate in school events including staff meetings, refresher courses, seminars, and school-related social events.
The coordinator may also contribute to grant applications, marketing materials, social media posts, and other tasks associated with maintaining a strong prospective student pipeline and school community.
*Position Requirements*:
● Bachelor’s degree required
● Prior work as part of a development, admissions, or communications team in a private school or non-profit educational setting preferred
● Experience managing teams of volunteers a plus
● Excellent written and communication skills and strong interpersonal skills; excels in diplomacy
● Self-directed performer with strong problem-solving and project management skills
● Is or seeks to become knowledgeable of Montessori theory and practice
● 12-month position - availability outside of school hours, including nights, weekends, and summer
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.
00 - $65,000.
